[CRC1382] Research Data Management - Hands-On-Workshop
Research Data Management is essential. It is not only demanded more and more by third party funder (e.g. DFG) but it helps to stay organized and understand your data even in years to come.
Sometimes only small changes will make a big difference and help you to meet the standards described as Good Scientific Practice. And the better or data is structured the less time you need to spend searching for files or puzzling over data columns - and you have more time for your actual research.

At CRC1382, we pursue research data management as a strategic goal and encourage researchers to learn about methods and tools for efficient data management and to implement them in their everyday research.
In monthly hands-on workshops, the Data Steward of CRC 1382, Lukas C. Bossert, provides practical tips on current and selected topics of the research data lifecycle, which can be tried out and applied directly.

These workshops are forPhD students, Post-docs, PIs or friends of CRC1382.

This session will be about version control: "How you can easily keep track with various versions of your files".

For this session you need to install:
